Review Policy

While I don’t write typical reviews here at Don’t Eat the Meeples, I do write what might be considered ‘review-like’ content. I’ll sometimes go in-depth about specific games, and I’ll sometimes touch on several games at once. I don’t write typical reviews — no score, no consistent structure, no “buy it, don’t buy it.”

If you are interested in submitting your game for review, please consider the following guidelines.

• I’ll accept review copies of games. If return shipping or forwarded shipping is provided, I’m happy to return the game or send it to another reviewer.
• I will never request nor accept financial compensation for anything published here.
• Submitting a game for review does not guarantee I’ll write about it. If I request a game for review (rather than you reaching out to me), that calculus changes — I’m clearly interested in the game, and I’ll do what I can to make sure I write about it.
• Likewise, I can’t guarantee timelines. Writing about board games requires playing board games, and life is sometimes unpredictable.
